About Ariadne Cellars

Ariadne Cellars began with a simple desire: to create something meaningful with my own hands and share it with others.

What started as a love of wine soon became a love of the stories that surround it. Wine has always been more than a beverage—it is a reason to gather, a catalyst for conversation, and a vessel for memory. Some of life's most meaningful moments happen around a table, with a bottle open and stories being exchanged.

Inspired by Ariadne of Greek mythology, whose thread guided others through the labyrinth, Ariadne Cellars is dedicated to celebrating women and the stories they leave behind. Each wine is named for a woman whose life, legend, or legacy continues to shape how we understand ourselves and one another. Some are drawn from mythology, some from history, and some from literature, but all have stories worth remembering.

Through thoughtfully crafted wines, I hope to create opportunities for connection, reflection, and conversation. Whether shared among lifelong friends or new acquaintances, wine has a unique ability to bring people together.

At its heart, Ariadne Cellars is about honoring stories, celebrating women, and creating wines that invite people to gather around the table and share their own.

Why Ariadne?

In Greek mythology, Ariadne gave Theseus a thread to help him navigate the labyrinth and find his way home. For me, that thread symbolizes the stories, relationships, and shared experiences that connect us across generations. Ariadne Cellars is built around that same idea: that stories have the power to guide us, bring us together, and help us understand one another.

A New Beginning

Ariadne Cellars is currently preparing for its inaugural vintage, with the first wines expected from the 2026 harvest. As the winery grows, so too will the collection of stories, each bottle honoring a woman whose life, legend, or legacy continues to inspire.
